I picked up a Mac Mini just to build Math.NET’s native libraries for OS X, but now I’m using it for everything but development. OSX is a great OS. I love the BSD core, built in X widows, drag-n-drop installs, and its overall refinement - “Linux” done right. And the mini is completely silent.
For development I’m using a new six core, Fermi Windows Workstation - but I remote desktop into it from the mini. The mini is just too slow for development and I really prefer Visual Studio with Resharper to X Code or MonoDevelop.
Now I have an iPod, iPad, and a Mac Mini. My next “PC” purchase will probably be an iMac and I’m deciding on whether to dump my Android phone for an iPhone. How did I become a Apple fanboy?
